GHANJAH MAN
Ghanjah Man The 1st, often called Ghanjah Man or simply G Man, proudly embraces his Garífuna heritage as the son of a Guatemalan father and a Belizean mother. Raised in Flatbush, Brooklyn, New York, he grew up surrounded by the rhythms of Hip-Hop, Reggae, and Dancehall, which deeply shape his music today. Now based in Central America, Ghanjah Man continues to blend his cultural roots with global sounds.
His career boasts numerous milestones, including performances on Martha Susana TV and the International Festival of Hip-Hop in Costa Rica. He has opened for notable acts such as Molotov from Mexico, Joss Stone, and several international reggae shows in Guatemala. Recent highlights include performances alongside Ghetto and appearances at events like the Tattoo Expo in El Salvador and Kraken Street Clothing in Guatemala City with Rxnde Akosta and Portavoz from Cuba.
In November 2023, he released the +5 EP, a joint project with Fat Flava, followed by the single Mic Wrecka in December 2023. Adding to his accolades, on August 24, 2024, he and Fat Flava were nominated for their song The Time Will Come in the Hip-Hop category at the Premios Estela 8 award show in Guatemala City. His latest single, Una Bless, debuted in September 2024.
Ghanjah Man’s music, a fusion of Caribe, Hip-Hop, and Reggae, serves as a vessel for storytelling and expression. With lyrics rooted in truth, pain, and lived experience, his work resonates deeply with audiences, making music more than just a passion—it’s his vice and purpose.
